Marc Anthony Jackson, recent addition to  the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets, is a North Philadelphia native and graduate of both Roman Catholic High School and Temple University. While at Temple, he graduated with a degree in Computer Science and was an Honorable Mention college All-American basketball player.

After playing pro basketball in Europe, he was drafted by the Golden Stare Warriors in 2000. From 2000-01, Marc participated in many Warriors community activities including Making the Grade, Christmas Community Caravan, Warriors Basketball Camp; also he served as the spokesperson for the Junior Warriors Camps.

After being traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2002, he landed with his hometown Philadelphia 76ers where he teamed up with fellow Temple University alumnus and Sixer Aaron McKie to win the NBA Community Assist Award. Some of Marc’s other NBA achievements include: Finished third behind Mike Miller and Kenyon Martin in 2000-01 Rookie of the Year voting, NBA All-Rookie Team Selection in 2000-01, Won back-to-back NBA Rookie of the Month award in December and January, five stellar NBA seasons, in 267games (71starts) has averaged 9.0 points, 4.7 rebounds per game, and recorded 26 double-doubles.
